Google Yahoo Still Count Wikipedia Links

I have an original theory. okay well not that original but still I was thinking if the search engines are actually not giving away any weight to links from a site like wikipedia because of the No Follow Thingy. With the whole search 4.0 talks about the human powered search engine, how could possibly a search engine like Google or Yahoo, ignore editorial quality links from a  site like wikipedia. Obviously they do give credit to the same quality links from Dmoz. What’s your opinion on this?

  3. Agreed.. Google and Yahoo give the weight to Dmoz in any ways. Well why they ignore Wikipedia is known by them only. But Dmoz is given huge importance by Search Engines…

  4. Links from websites that are ‘trusted’ are considered more valuable. A link from Wikipedia is worth more than a link from any other. Wiki links also gives decent visits to your site.
